    This course offers fundamental concepts of computer and computing which includes introduction to computer system, computer software & database management system, operating system, data communication & computer network and contemporary technologies. It also aims at helping students convert theoretical concept into practical skill through the use of different application packages including word processor, spreadsheet package, presentation package and photo editing graphical package.
    Upon the conclusion of the course, students should be able to: - Provide fundamental concepts of information and communication technology - Make students capable of using different application packages in their personal as well as professional life

    1. Operating System (10 Hrs.)
    a. GUI Based OS (Windows): Interface, Task Bar, File Management, Accessories, Multimedia, Installation, etc.
    b. CUI Based OS (DOS): Internal and External Commands.

    2. Word Processor (12 Hrs.) - MS Word (All features: Formatting, Tables, Mail Merge, Macros, etc.)

    3. Spreadsheet Package (12 Hrs.) - MS Excel (Formulas, Charts, Pivot Tables, What-if Analysis, Macros, etc.)

    4. Presentation Package (6 Hrs.) - MS PowerPoint (Animations, Transitions, Multimedia, etc.)

    5. Photo Editing Package (20 Hrs.) - Adobe Photoshop (All tools, Layers, Filters, Image Restoration, Web Graphics, etc.)
