2.4. Series of parallel compilation of resistance, equivalent resistance and its calculation
2.5. Star-delta transformation
2.6. Concept of power, energy and its calculations

2.8. Ideal and non-ideal sources, source conversion

This course introduces the concept of basic electrical engineering. It includes the basic circuit concepts of AC & DC, single phase and poly phase AC circuit, single phase transformers, power systems and electrical safety.
After successfully completing the course activities, the student will be able to: analyze electric circuits (AC & DC); work on electrical instrumentation projects; operate, distinguish and use electrical devices and transformers; gain knowledge about the fundamentals of power systems, wiring and earthing.
Laboratory work covering measurement of current, voltage and power across passive components, verification of Kirchhoff's laws and network theorems, three phase power measurement, and transformer testing.
