Course Description

English 201 focuses on improving students’ English language and communication skills for both everyday and professional use. It helps develop vocabulary, reading, and writing abilities, while also enhancing cross-cultural understanding. The course encourages critical thinking by exposing students to different ideas and opinions. It is divided into two equal parts: Core English and Genres and Disciplines.

Course Objectives

After completing this course, students will be able to read different types of texts, communicate effectively in speaking and writing, adapt their message based on purpose and audience, use appropriate style and tone, and apply communication skills in both academic and professional contexts.
